It was the feeling you had when you thought about no alarm, boss, commute or unsatisfied paycheck.  But, how much time did you put time into developing your focus of the networking and marketing part (big part) of your business? It’s YOUR success that you are yearning for. So, if you or your team find yourselves getting sidetracked in your home business, here are 5 ways that your entire team can use to stay focused on your daily goals for your network marketing business:

1.   Mindset/Confidence. Your mindset is the bridge to an unrelenting attitude and confidence. This is the foundation you will need to stay focused in anything you set your mind to. First, decide whether or not the person you have become in the last 6 months is the person you want to keep developing. You have to decide what kind of person YOU want to develop into and with the right kind of attitude, you will be on your way. Start by writing it down and putting it somewhere you can see it on a daily basis. Now, make a commitment to develop habits towards who you are focused on becoming. (Don’t delay, do this today. It’s NEVER too late.) Remember, “Failure is not a person, it’s an event. The past is over.”  -Zig Ziglar

2.  Organize Your Priorities.  This is an important step in order to avoid feeling overwhelmed and “stuck.” Piece meal your daily activities for your business.  By doing this, you will be able to have a large puzzle broken down in pieces arranged by the amount of time you will commit to working on it. Focus on what activities will pay you quicker. If you continue to focus on unimportant tasks (you won’t get paid by your time—only results.) So focus on priorities that will PAY YOU for your results. For example: Use a calendar (write it all down) to schedule your daily habits; commit to blocks of time to complete it all (hour to hour); schedule time for your meals; take no more than 15 minute breaks in between your hours. (Do NOT sit at your computer ALL day without a written schedule or without scheduled breaks. It’s NOT conducive to a successful business. You will get tired and “stuck”). My recommendation for an online calendar: Google FREE calendar.

3.  Track Your Results. As you continue to develop your focused activities (habits), begin to use a Results Management Sheet. By tracking your results, you won’t have a need to spend time with tasks that are not making you money. All of your focus will be laser targeted on IPA’s (Income Producing Activities—money making activities). Achieving results is an important focus and important part of everyday. Write down your daily goals (per hour) and by the end of each day, write down whether or not you achieved your goal. Don’t ignore this part of your focused tasks. You will be happy you implemented this step.

4.  Asset Business Partner (ABP). I call this an Asset Business Partner because this is someone who adds value in your life, not a liability and takes away from who you are becoming. An ABP cares genuinely about your success and they challenge your uncomfortable zone. Who do you know that is in the same industry as you (they can be in your upline, downline or any network marketing company), that has the same amount of time during the day to accomplish their goals, and they MUST have the same POSITIVE MINDSET and unrelenting attitude (“I’m going to do it, no matter what” attitude)? Choose a n ABP partner wisely. Schedule this accountability call with your Partner to create a personal checks and balance for both of your business. No gossiping, idle chit chat, or unrelated conversations during your accountability call. Make it productive to go over your daily/weekly goals. Be consistent and don’t make excuses for not making the calls. Review both of your goals and results for no more than 15-20 minutes maximum. As you discuss each other’s goals, results, challenges you’re facing and IPA’s, write down your partners’ goals, as well.  This way you can challenge them when they are not accomplishing the goals. Don’t forget to share ideas (money making priorities).

5.  TAKE ACTION NOW! It’s time for you to get started today. Yesterday is gone forever and today is a gift for you to take advantage of.
